Mission Statement

Building Character Through Dance

At Southeast School of Dance, we prioritize providing excellent dance education in a structured yet encouraging and nurturing environment where every student can grow. We serve both recreational and competitive dancers, prioritizing personal development, strong technique, artistry, creativity, and a true love for dance. Our mission is to develop respectful and confident students with a strong work ethic while creating a supportive community where both students and families feel welcomed, connected, and valued.

Our Philosophy

Expert Staff Empowering All Star Students

At Southeast School of Dance, we believe dance is for every student, girls and boys, recreational dancers and competitive dancers alike. Starting at age 3, we offer a full range of classes including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Hip Hop, Contemporary, Lyrical, and Acrobatics.

We believe strong technique matters, and ballet plays an important role in building that foundation, alongside the many other styles that help shape a well-rounded dancer. We want every student to develop as a versatile, confident performer across the styles they love, moving to the melody and finding their own rhythm along the way.

Dance combines athleticism with artistry. It builds strength and discipline alongside a genuine love of movement. Just as importantly, dancers learn to perform in front of an audience from a young age, a skill that carries far beyond the stage and into the confidence it takes to give a presentation, speak in public, and handle any moment in the spotlight.

We believe it's essential that every instructor is knowledgeable and properly trained. Our instructors are carefully chosen and highly qualified, with many holding degrees from UNCG and UNCSA dance departments.

Above all, we've built a community where every dancer is both challenged and supported as they grow. It's a place where students and families feel welcomed, connected, and valued, where hard work and a little bit of magic go hand in hand.
