Spring Showcase 2025
Venue: Carolina Theatre
Address:
Spring Ballet Full Cast Rehearsals (held at SESD): April 6 & 27
Show 1 & 2 Dress Rehearsal at Carolina Theatre (All Classes): May 2, 2025
Showcase Date: May 3, 2025
Showcase Meetings:
- 2025 Dates:
- Wednesday, March 19th (video call) at 7:40pm. Link will be sent prior to the meeting start time!
- The Wednesday meeting will be recorded; if you can't make it, you may review later at your convenience!
- First year students are required to join the video call.
- If you have questions, please attend in-person or join the video call. This is the BEST time to have your questions answered!
- Showcase meetings generally last 30-40 minutes
- Show day is VERY busy. It is extremely important to attend Showcase meetings and ask all questions prior to the show date. Katherine will be tied up running the show; coordinating lights and sound with the technicians, checking on dancers, and much more. We want this experience to be as smooth and pleasant as possible, but there is no guarantee Katherine will be able to answer phone calls, texts, or emails at any time during the day. If you have a question and cannot find Katherine, look for someone in a “volunteer” shirt or your dancer’s teacher. Showcase meetings will eliminate most of the stress and confusion!
Ballet Full Cast Rehearsals:
- Full Cast Rehearsals are absolutely mandatory for specified classes/cast members. Dancers who are absent from a full cast rehearsal for any reason other than family emergency will not be permitted to perform in the Show. There are no exceptions.
- Full Cast Rehearsals are held at SESD.
- Full Casts are CLOSED rehearsals; meaning only SESD staff and dancers are permitted in the studio during rehearsal. The lobby will be "closed." Exception: Parents of younger dancers should wait in the lobby in case your dancer needs help in the bathroom.
- Intermediate/Advanced and pointe dancers should begin quietly warming up before their rehearsal start time.
- Typically, we do not wear costumes—please wear regular ballet class attire unless instructed otherwise. Hair should be slicked back in a bun.
