Miss Alex is a well rounded dancer, choreographer, and instructor. Alex has trained in various styles including contemporary, modern, tap, jazz, ballet, hip hop, Irish dance, clogging, lyrical, acrobatics and musical theater. She even participated in pageants for a few years and won high titles.

Throughout elementary, middle, and high school, Alex  worked with many different studios, choreographers, and artists including Mia Michaels, Twitch, Bobby Newberry, Misha Gabriel, Andy Pellick, Alexandra Wells, Sidra Bell, Joe Lantera, Joey Wooling, Teddy Florence, Mandy Moore, Nick Lazzarini, Teddy Forence, Misha Gabriel, Katy Spreadbury, Andrew Winghart, Mike Minery, and Jule D. Lane.

After high school, Alex attended college and received excellent training from UNC School of the Arts with a concentration in Contemporary dance.

In addition to her formal training, Alex attended many competitions and won titles and scholarships from Jump, 24seven, Southeast Showdown, NYCDA and many more. She also attended the M.I.P intensive in NYC where she got the chance to explore and create her own choreography. Alex was even featured on an episode of “So You Think You Can Dance”.

Alex enjoys sharing her love of dance her students, and is a wonderful addition to our SESD team!
