Advanced Level

Our Advanced Level is for dedicated dancers who consistently demonstrate strong technique and artistry. At this level, students take on the most complex steps and combinations in their training, executing them with precision, control, and expressive performance quality. Advanced dancers are expected to bring focus and commitment to each combination and every class. They are leaders in our studio community and serve as role models and an inspiration to the dancers coming up behind them.

Ballet

Ballet is a classical dance form built on a strong foundation of technique, proper alignment, and body control. Students develop strength, flexibility, and grace through structured and intentional training that cultivates discipline, coordination, and body awareness. Classes are taught in a focused yet encouraging environment where dancers grow at their own pace while building dedication, resilience, and artistry that will serve them throughout their dance journey.

Pointe

Pointe is an extension of ballet training for dancers who have developed the strength, technique, and physical readiness required to dance on pointe shoes. Students continue to refine their classical technique while beginning to build the skills needed to dance en pointe safely and beautifully. Pointe is available to Pre-Advanced and Advanced level ballet dancers only, which is determined by SESD placement.

Jazz

Jazz is an energetic and expressive style of dance that combines technical skill with personality and performance quality. Students learn foundational jazz technique including isolations, syncopated rhythms, and dynamic movement while developing musicality and confidence. Jazz classes are upbeat, engaging, and a favorite among dancers of all ages.

Contemporary

Contemporary dance is a dynamic, artistic, and grounded genre that encourages dancers to move with freedom and intention. Students explore the power behind their body weight, kinesphere, and gravity. Class time is spent moving thoughtfully through space while delving into varied textures, dynamic transitions, and floor work. Contemporary deepens the connection between technique and artistry while empowering dancers to push the boundaries of movement and discover new ways to tell stories through their bodies.

Hip Hop

Hip Hop brings the awesome energy and culture of street dance into the studio. Students learn foundational grooves, footwork, and age appropriate choreography rooted in hip hop style while developing rhythm, confidence, and self-expression. Classes are high energy and fun, welcoming dancers to step into their own personality and enjoy every beat.

Lyrical

Lyrical dance combines the technical foundation of ballet and jazz with emotional storytelling and musical interpretation. Students learn to connect deeply with the music, expressing the meaning and feeling behind the lyrics through fluid, expressive movement. Lyrical is a beautiful genre for dancers who love to perform with heart and intention.

Acrobatics

Acrobatics blends elements of dance technique and gymnastics for a fun dynamic class. Class time focuses on strength, flexibility, balance, and body control through skill-based training rooted in safe technique. Students learn foundational skills such as handstands, cartwheels, backbends, and walkovers through drills and exercises, progressing to more advanced skills as they grow stronger. Acrobatics complements all dance genres and helps dancers develop a powerful, well-rounded physicality.

JTS (Jumps, Turns, Strength)

JTS is a supplemental class for dancers aged 10+ designed to help build the skills and physical strength needed to excel in all of their dance classes. Students focus specifically on improving their jumps, perfecting their turns, and developing the core and overall body strength that supports strong technique. By building stamina and reinforcing proper alignment and muscle strength, this class also plays an important role in helping dancers stay healthy and reduce their risk of injury. JTS is a great complement to any dancer’s training schedule. It is a technique only class so it does not have a dance in the Spring Recital.

PBT & Stretch

PBT, which stands for Progressing Ballet Technique, is a specialized program that uses targeted exercises to strengthen the muscles used in ballet and dance. Combined with intentional stretching, this class helps ballet dancers improve their technique, flexibility, and body awareness in a thoughtful and structured way. PBT & Stretch is required for all Pointe dancers and is an excellent valuable addition to any dancer’s training. It is a technique only class so it does not have a dance in the Spring Recital.

Production *Invite Only*

Production is an invite only class where selected dancers come together to create and perform a special group piece. Students in this class develop their performance skills, teamwork, and artistry while working on choreography that showcases the talent and dedication of our studio. Being selected for Production is an exceptional honor and an exciting opportunity for dancers to shine on stage.
