Dear SESD Community,

This is Sidney and Nicole Rowland here! As you may know from Katherine’s previous email, we are thrilled to officially announce that we are the new owners of Southeast School of Dance. We understand that transition periods can be difficult for everyone involved, so we are going to try our utmost best to ensure the smoothest transition possible. We value every dancer, parent, and teacher who has become a part of the SESD family. And we hope to keep you a part of the SESD family for years to come.

We are from Fletcher, North Carolina, a small town right outside of Asheville, North Carolina. Sidney Rowland graduated from UNCG this past Spring with her BS in Business Administration, as well as a minor in Dance. Sidney started dancing at the age of four, and began teaching and choreographing at the age of seventeen at Center Stage Dance Studio in Asheville, North Carolina. She was only fifteen when she decided that her dream was to manage her own dance studio, which is why she went to school for both business and dance.

Nicole Rowland has been the sole marketing manager for two businesses, run out of Asheville, North Carolina, and Greenville, South Carolina, for fourteen years. After being an awesome dance mom for fifteen years, the most logical next step of course was to become a dance studio owner! She is excited to embark on this adventure with her daughter and is really looking forward to supporting the dance community.

During Sidney’s last year at UNCG, she had the honor of crossing paths with Katherine and got the chance to teach as an instructor at SESD. She fell in love with the kids, the people, the community, and the amazing studio that Katherine had worked so hard to bring to life. Between Katherine’s love for her studio, her talent, and her values, she continuously inspired Sidney to grow, learn, and pursue her own dream. We are so grateful to Katherine for helping make Sidney’s dream a reality.

We are beyond appreciative to have this opportunity and are truly excited to become a part of this community. We look forward to seeing everyone in person, familiar faces and new faces alike!

Thank you,
Sidney and Nicole Rowland
